Matted Dog Trapped In Barn For 6 Years Accumulated 35 Pounds Of Fur

His human thought he would get better but never did. For that reason, he finally called a rescue organization to step in and give the matted dog a better home.

I am so glad he did. Lazarus deserves better than to be trapped in a barn for the rest of his life. It’s no life for a dog, moreso a herding dog.

Check out Lazarus’ amazing transformation in the video below. Hard to imagine that the before and after feature the same dog!

He looks so brand new. Although hesitant and not housebroken, I hope he will open his heart for the first time in years for someone to take a chance on him.

  1. I suspect that this dog might benefit from being placed in a setting with another of his breed–or another herding breed–that is a well-socialized and trained animal. With such a mentor, he might be quick to pick up the cues from a four-legged buddy faster than with only human leadership and love.

  2. i HAVE NO SYMPTHANY FOR THE OWNER. IF HE WERE TOO ILL TO LET THE DOG RUN OUTSIDE HE SHOULD HAVE HAD AN S.P.C.A. FOUND A GOOD HOME FOR HIM. AS THIS MAN WERE ILL i WOULD NOT RECOMEND WHAT i WHOULD HAVE RECOMMENDED FOR SOMEONE ELSE. WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EYE FOR AN EYE AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH. THERE IS NO EXCUSE, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN 42 YEARS IN HUMAN LIFE AND MAYBE, THIS MAN DESERVES 42 YEARS OF ONLY RECEIVING FOOD, NO TOUCH, NO OUTSIDE, NO HEALTH CARE, ETC
