The world is very happy for a Texas vet with service dog. How so? Because together, they nailed a job at a huge hardware chain! This is a victory for people with service dog everywhere!
Texas Lowe’s employs veteran Clay Luthy, a former C-130 loadmaster in the U.S. Air Force. He gets around through the help of his 10-year-old service dog Charlotte, a Golden Retriever.
Luthy suffered a pretty devastating injury on both knees. He already had five surgeries and even so, Luthy still can’t bend his left knee. This is where Charlotte comes in.
“I got [Charlotte] as a puppy, and she was never supposed to be a service dog,” Luthy told KIDY. “I found out a couple years ago she was alerting me, and I didn’t even know it.”
