Of course it costs time, money and effort –a lot of those in fact. Therefore, adding a dog into your family is a decision not to be taken lightly.
Treat dogs like you would treat any human being. With regard, compassion and whenever possible, love!
If you want a dog but feel unsure if you are ready for commitment, don’t adopt one just yet. Instead, foster. It’s a good time to figure out whether or not you have enough room for love in your home AND heart.
Before you get a dog, cat or any pet for that matter, think long and hard. Imagine having a dog in your life over the next decade and a half.
If you can’t see yourself in such situation, don’t get one. Don’t be a jerk.
